Summer League R7 2019

Monday, 29 July 2019

Sunday 26th July, Summer League R7  - Falcon Cup

The hot and bright conditions favoured the Lower Basin with the top five weights coming from that section.  Adrian Hill switched between methods to keep bagging the silvers  throughout the day.  Simon Allen four pegs away was doing likewise but Adrian won out by 5ozs to win with 8lbs 9ozs.  Mark Gratton finished third with 7lb 11ozs of bits off the recently poor performing peg 19.

The best weight from the Second Basin was Ady Larkins with 3lb 7ozs of bits, only good enough for a section win on the day.  Jack Crystal managed to put 1lb of silvers together to win the Junior section.

Dave Allen and Derek Foster both lost a big un, that on the day would probably have won the match.

No one can really know where the hot pegs will be at present, so don't get too disheartened if draw what you think is a tough peg, it could be the flyer.
