Saturday saw the first leg of the annual interclub match against North Devon Match Group at Stafford Moor, fishing on tanners and Woodpecker lakes.
With 28 anglers fishing , the weather was hot and bright sun which did make the fish very spooky and with them on the brink of spawning made things difficult, as well cruising fish everywhere but not willing to take a bait for some time.
The inexperience of fishing carp ponds showed as North Devon dominated on each lake and Bude crashing out to yet another heavy defeat.
