We will be holding a Junior Members tuition event on Saturday 18th April from 9:30am to 1pm. The event will have a maximum of 15 places and take place in the Lower Basin of the Bude Canal.
The event will be an introduction to the basics of short whip/pole fishing and will comprise a 45 minute ‘set up’ session followed by a 1 hour 30 minutes ‘tutored’ competition.
Schedule for the Event:
9:30am to 9:45am - Sign in – Falcon Bridge lawn
9:45am to 10:45am – Canal fishing basics and set up.

BCAA Volunteer anglers will be on hand to provide tuition and guidance throughout. All the tackle and bait required for the session will be available free from BCAA on the day, although you are welcome to bring your own if you would prefer.
Juniors aged 8 or under will need to be accompanied by a responsible adult for the duration of the event, who would be welcome to sit with them and take part in the tuition themselves.
If this event is successful BCAA will be arranging future ‘introduction’ and ‘skills improvement’ events for juniors.
There will be a selection of fishing tackle prizes and each participant will be able to select a prize. This event is free of charge thanks to the support of the Angling Trust, the Environment Agency and Bude Canal Angling Association.
