Winter League R2

Sunday 18th October - Winter League R2

With Simon Allen drawing end peg 35 for the second consecutive match it was no surprise that he went on to win two contests on the bounce.  Unlike the previous match there were no slab bream for Si who had to work multiple swims for a genuine silver catch of 11lbs 14ozs.  Tone Johns bagged a 20lb carp (counts 8lb) after an epic battle on double pinkie from end peg 20 which combined with a few more silvers comfortably took the runners up spot with 11lbs 3ozs.  Paul Braund (not on an end peg) bagged 9lb 9ozs of silvers on the 7 and 4 meter whip from peg 14 to finish third.

There were default section wins for Steve Whitehouse (Second Basin 8lb 6ozs) and Adrian Hill (Lower Basin 8lb 14ozs).

A Hill 8lb 14ozs 181026

A Hill with a section winning 8lb 14ozs, mostly taken on the long whip and 'megga float'.
