As expected the pressure of a match on both waters saw the average bag drop from the impressive catches the pleasure anglers had been reporting in the week.
Ian Gray was the only angler to bank more than two carp in the Lake with three, and with other anglers only managing a brace or single carp at best he easily won that section. Partner Nathan Underwood managed to find a small common in the pond which lifted him to 4th place and was enough to give them a share of the victory for the New Halwill Hustlers. Ady Larkins of the Lager Louts found and even larger carp to boost his small bag of silvers, winning the pond section with just over 6lbs. A brace of commons from partner Kevin Hill in the lake was enough to tie the result.
Third place went to the Bude Bay Pirates where Adrian Hill's brace of commons went just over the 10lbs and partner Len Hancock hooked and landed a 6lb common with his only bite of the day from peg 1 in the pond.
