Pairs League - Round 4

Another classic June warm sunny eveing with light winds meeting the seven competing teams. And just like the first evening match all the action was in the Second Basin. Simon Allen picked up numerous small blades to bag a winning 1olbs of silvers and with the 'old man' Dave finishing second with 4lbs 7ozs of silvers in the Lower Basin Me and My Boy took the victory and a clear lead in the league table. Matt Sampson had a bonus tench in amongst the silvers to net 7lbs to take runner up spot in the Second Basin, Tony Hillas finished third in his section to give the Brendon All Stars second spot. These two teams are now pulling clear of the rest of the field as we reach the halfway point in the leage season.
Mark Gratton won the Lower Basin with 4lb 13ozs of bits but partner Adrian Hill had a mare, dropping several fish which saw the Pirates end up third.
