Pairs League R8 Sunday 2nd October
It was a good call to re-arrange the venue to the Basins with 5 double figure bags of silvers recorded on the day. A few practice sessions in the Second Basin paid off for Dave Allen as he banked 14lbs of skimmers and redfins for the section win off of peg 31. Simon Allen finished second in the Lower Basin with 8lbs of silvers from peg 18 which was enough to give them a share of first place for Me and My Boy. The Lynstone Lads both banked exactly 13lbs 9ozs with Jack Crystal winning the Lower Basin and Steve Whitehouse ending runner up in the second. Whilst they shared the victory on the day it did mean the Lynstone lads were the Pairs Champions 2022.
With the Bendon All Stars living the champagne lifestyle in Cyprus, the Bude Bay Pirates took the opportunity to plunder third place in the league by a point, largly thanks to Mark Grattons 10lb bag from peg 30. The season ended where it started for the Tiscott Boys who can only come back stronger.
