Summer League Round 10, Sunday 2nd October - Reg Howard Trophy:

Nathan Underwood secured the summer league title with a 10lb bag of silvers for an equal third finish with Peter Slade on a still warm day.  Matt Sampson won the Reg Howard Trophy off peg 41 with four carp weighing 22lbs taken on pole fished paste, the best fish a 9lb lump.   Nathan's nearest challenger for the summer league, Simon Allen, could only watch Matt from next door peg 40, but the carp were not venturing any further down the canal and he finished way off the pace in 20th position.

Paul Braund had his best individual result of the season finishing in second after banking 10lbs+ of silvers using the 8 metre whip from peg 20.  There were section wins for Jim Escott (Lower Basin), Rob Fuller (Second Basin) and Ian Gray (Narrows).

With 34 anglers taking part its been a bumper Summer League for entrants.  We will all be hoping for mild winter weekends so we don't need to break the ice as the winter league gets underway in a fortnight.
