Close Season to be Retained

Friday, 25 February 2011

The Committee has decided that we should retain the close season for one more year despite an almost unanimous vote at the last AGM to open all year round.  The reason the Committee have reluctantly decided to retain the close season was the insistance of Cornwall Council on revising our current lease which has a further eight years to run, should we want to open all year round.  The Committee therefore felt it best to bring the issue back to this years AGM for a fuller discussion around the potential implications for us should we decide to re-negotiate the lease.  We will still be able to fish during April and May as Whalesborough lake will be open to members.
