A strong northerly wind made conditions very difficult and a number of anglers failed to catch in a contest that had everyone scratching around to find fish in the first three hours.   Fishing the Lower Basin, Adrian 'Sailor' Hill swithed from fishing the quiver tip on the far bank to the near bank pole line and with two hours to go was rewarded with a 4lb winning net of fish made up of small roach and carp with a bonus 2lb bream.  Simon Hockerday continued his run of good form following up his recent victory by securing second spot with 1lb of skimmers from the Upper Basin.  Dick Turner, also fishing the Second Basin, netted 10ozs of small fish to see him clear of a number of anglers returning weights in the low ounces.

1st Adrian 'Sailor' Hill (Peg 15) 4lbs, 2nd Simon Hockerday 1lb, 3rd Dick Turner 10ozs.  Sections:  Simon Allen, Mark Richards
