Winter League - Sunday 30th November
Simon Allen found the big beasts as the clear water and cold weather put the smaller silvers completely off the feed. A 9lb carp and three slabs taken on the quiver tip from the Lower Basin boosted his catch to a winning 25lbs and a handy 8 point lead at the top of the table. Peter Slade left it late with an 11lb carp hooked with two minutes to go and landed in extra time with the light fading! It was enough to sneak him into the runner up spot with 21lbs. Matt Sampson found a 10lb carp on the pop up bread and added a couple of slabs on pole fished pellet for a total haul of 16lbs+ for third.
Sections wins went to Jean Bowden (with a 10lbs+ bag) in the Lower Basin, Ian Croxton with a single mirror carp of nearly 8lbs in the Second Basin (pictured) and Nathan Underwood at the Bird Hide.

There were a lot of blanks including two 'Golden Blanks', with not even a bite being registered. Winter fishing is here!
