Pairs League R1 2014

Tuesday, 15 April 2014

The first of this years Pairs matches was fished at Whalesborough Lake and the Middle Pound.  It was not the outcome expected with anglers struggling to catch on the Lake whilst Middle Pound on the whole produced the expected catches of roach.  It was a last minute decision by Simon Hockaday to fish in the middle of the Lake that paid off with a 5lb carp that combined with Len Codlins 4lb bag of redfins secured the opening win of the season for the Cod Fathers.  Top weight in the lake went to Adrian Hill with a 12lb bag of carp, partner Peter Giles banked 2lb 7ozs of roach from the Pound which secured second spot ahead of the reigning champions Me and My Boy.  Top weight in the Pound went to Nathan Underwood with 6lb bag of the silver bars.
