Junior Cup Match: Saturday 8th August
After an absence of a few years we will be re-introducing the annual Junior Cup Match on Saturday 8th August. Sign in will be at 9:00am on the Falcon Bridge Lawn and the match will be fished from 9:45am to 1pm.
This event is free of charge and has been funded through the generous donations of tackle items by Bude Canal Angling Association (BCAA) members and the public. Whilst this is not a 'tuition' event, experienced anglers will be on hand to help.
Entrants will be expected to provide their own tackle and bait, however, keepnets, landing nets and 4 meter whips can be loaned for the event.
Schedule for the Event:
9:00am Sign in – Falcon Bridge lawn
9:45am to 1pm Fishing Match start and end
1pm -1:30pm Weigh in and Prizegiving
The annual BCAA Junior Cup will be awarded to the winner and all entrants will be able to select from items of tackle as well as tackle vouchers from Bude Bait and Tackle (even those who fail to catch!).
Juniors aged 8 or under will need to be accompanied by a responsible adult for the duration of the event, who would be welcome to sit with them.
The event will have a maximum of 16 places and be held in the Lower and Upper Basins (Pegs 13 to 20 and 28 to 35).
