It was a complete reversal in form from Sunday as the anglers again battled the heat in the early hours of the contest on yet another hot sunny day. After a bream bonanza on Sunday the skimmer bream did not show as anticipated in the bottom basin but they were feeding on the higher pegs in the Upper Basin. Dazed and Confused Ryan Willshire bagged the biggest weight of the night with 15lbs 8ozs of pole caught bream from peg 31 and with partner Rob Fuller taking the runner up spot from Simon Allen by an ounce in the Lower Basin, the extra point was enough for a share of first place. The Brendon All Stars continued their good form with Tony Hillas bagging 11lb 6ozs of bream from end peg 33 and Matt Sampson winning the Lower Basin with 8lbs 1oz from peg 17 for equal first.
With only the Stu Bell Cup match to go on the 9th of August a 6 point league lead for the new combers Dazed and Confused looks unassailable as they now chase a pairs league and cup double.
