With the forecast heatwave and a few anglers entered in the Tamar Lake three day festival, the turnout was a low one!
Andy Southey made the most of drawing hot peg 35 and bagged a succession of skimmers on the long pole for a 13lbs 10ozs winning weight. Steve Whithouse off peg 16 was not far behind, also favouring the long pole to bag over 12lbs for second, just one 13oz skimmer off the lead. Andy now takes a commanding 9.5 point lead from 'London Tone' Hillas in the Summer League with 4 matches to go, latest from the Bookies:

Kevin Hill netted a bonus 2lb bream that saw him move up into third place with 5lbs 8ozs. There were section wins for Dave Allen (4lb 15oz) and Paul Braund (4lb 9oz) with nets of small silvers which fed throughout the day, albeit slowly.
